29 Palms Chemical Peels may contain the Chemical Phenol

When I was studying chemistry at college I recall an incident where we were doing an experiment and I somehow managed to spill some phenol onto my foot. The professor immediately told me run and wash my feet as it could be dangerous, and from then on he often called me phenol feet! This is why I was surprised to learn that 29 Palms chemical peels may contain phenol, depending on the strength of the peel selected.

Phenol Uses:

  • Corrects blotches caused by: sun exposure, birth-control pills, aging
  • Smooth’s out coarse wrinkles
  • Removes pre-cancerous growths

Considerations:

  • Used on the face only
  • Not recommended for dark-skinned individuals
  • Procedure may pose risk for patients with heart problems
  • Full-face treatment may take one hour or more
  • Recovery may be slow - Complete healing may take several months
  • May permanently remove facial freckles
  • Sun protection, including sunblock, must always be used
  • Results are dramatic and long-lasting
  • Permanent skin lightening and lines of demarcation may occur

It is possible that phenol will cause some undesired cosmetic results, such as uneven pigment changes. Certain modified phenol peels are gentler and may be preferred in some circumstances. If you decide to opt for 29 Palms chemical peels then at least make sure you know all about the risks involved and the expected results. Other popular facial treatments for younger looking skin include 29 Palms CO2 laser resurfacing, or 29 Palms CO2 laser.

29 Palms CO2 laser resurfacing can erase years from your face and dramatically improve the appearance of wrinkles and pigment, but it is not a lunchtime procedure. In the past, traditional carbon dioxide laser treatments removed the entire surface of the skin. The healing process was lengthy and permanent lightening was possible. CO2 laser treatments use small columns of fractionated energy to ablate areas of damage.

By targeting zones deep in the skin as opposed to the entire skin surface, 29 Palms CO2 laser resurfacing is a one-time, treatment performed with local anaesthesia. It offers mild improvement in wrinkles, discoloration and scarring by stimulating collagen production. The companies behind these treatments also claim that skin tightening is a result.

For many, the recovery is more uncomfortable and takes longer than surgery. You’ll need to follow specific skin-care instructions. Immediately after, your skin will be raw and oozing, and probably covered in ointment and bandaged. Crusts will form over the first week, and the healing skin beneath will be pink and very sensitive. Although the skin heals within a month, redness can persist for about two or three months. Once you have fully healed you should notice a significant improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity and discoloration.

When it comes to surgical procedures, you will find that the 29 Palms breast reduction, augmentation, 29 Palms chin augmentation and 29 Palms cheek augmentation are all popular procedures these days. These are all methods which more and more people are using in order to keep looking younger for longer. They are used to keep the face and the body looking more attractive and pleasing.
